I thought this was funny but I'm afraid to admit it, lest people think I'm some kind of freak like Mayor Sam Adams.
The extremeness of the satire is what I find funny. The actual subject I find disturbing.
What's at issue is the old argument of 'how far do we go to be safe?' Personally I think wearing a bike helmet crosses into the gray area of being unnecessarily safety-paranoid. As far as all this anti-terrorist precautions my thoughts are: wouldn't it be best to simply... Shoot. The. Bad. Guys.
